Light Skin Peel 1.5oz (107)

Light Skin Peel 1.5oz

"Peeling" is a European term for one of the most unique European items in the entire cosmetic field. THIS IS NOT A HARSH CHEMICAL PEEL. It doesn't "peel skin" as we know it, but gently lifts off more hardened, dried skin cells than can be achieved by scrubs or any other "exfoliating" product. Dead-cell accumulation prevents treatment products from penetrating and keeps skin tone from looking fresh and vibrant. For aging and problem skin, PEEL is absolutely vital; it offers multiple benefits, which one can see and feel with just one application. Used by Europe's top Skin Treatment Specialists as a supplementary cleansing step in any skin care program. Any skin type, any age, can benefit from a once-a-week "Peel". Our Peel ingredients also stimulate the deeper new cells to move upward at a faster rate - causing the skin surface to look tighter, clearer and healthier.

  • Jeanie, Midnight Manicures:
I was getting ready to go out and celebrate my 30th Wedding Anniversary with my Husband on New Year's Eve and started to put my makeup on, but my face was totally dry and peeling. It looked like a crocodile's skin and I didn't have much time to do anything about it. I whipped out my trusty go to mask, the Reviva Labs Non-Chemical Light Skin Peel. It goes on very smooth, you let it dry and then rub it off with your fingers or with a dry cloth or cosmetic sponge. My face looked great after using it. There was no redness and I was able to finally apply my makeup with out the crocodile look! It saved my night. Recently on one of the daily Doctor shows, he was talking about skin care and said you should use this type of product once a week for better looking and healthier skin. The best thing is, the price is only $20.
  • Erika, Icy Nails:
So, does the Reviva Labs Light Skin Peel work?
Yes, it does. After I rub it off, my face feels soft, smooth, velvety and refreshed and it looks fresh and brighter. I dig the results I see from this peel. My only small objection to the product is that the Oil of Thyme is a strong presence and while I like the scent the fumes from it can be quite uncomfortable for my very sensitive eyes. The fumes do dissipate fairly quickly but for about half a minute or so, my peepers aren't the happiest creatures, ever. In spite of that small discomfort I am using this peel and enjoying the benefits to my skin.
  • Scarlett Rose, The Educated Beauty:
If you've been around my blog, you know I'm a major proponent of exfoliation. As someone with sensitive skin and the belief that "you shouldn't put anything on your face you wouldn't put into your mouth," I have struggled to find the solution for this conundrum. There was no choice: my acne-scarred, skin-tortured face counted on me for it. Luckily, the wonderful researchers at Reviva Labs had people just like you and me in mind when they created their Light Skin Peel Exfoliant. The Non-Chemical Reviva Light Skin Peel is an extremely unique product. Unlike the chemical face peels found online that can lift away healthy skin cells along with the dead ones, the Reviva Light Skin Peel only dissolves and binds to dried and dead skin cells. With just seventeen ingredients-most of which a person with no knowledge of chemistry can identify-I felt that the paraben-free, all natural skin peel was worth trying.

Admittedly, the 1.5 oz seemed like a small container at first. As soon as I opened the container, however, I knew the product could not be compared to anything I had used before. While it certainly doesn't smell like lavender, I was pleasantly surprised by the sharp (but not wholly unpleasant) scent and beautiful texture of the product. I don't think I've ever opened a "natural" or "organic" product and taken it at its word before I opened the Light Skin Peel.

The Reviva Light Skin Peel gave my skin a tingling sensation, which-according to the company-is due to the softening of the peel's chemicals and dissolving dead skin cells. Far from feeling uncomfortable (as artificial products tend to do), it was refreshing and encouraging. After waiting the recommended three minutes, the Light Skin Peel had dried on my usually oily skin. Because Reviva Labs recommends a 3-5 minute waiting period before removal of the masque, I waited two longer; the tingling had long subsided, but the product was so light that it was sort of nice to keep on the full time. While the peel is certainly easy enough to rub off with your fingers (one of the methods the directions suggest), I used a dry towel to gently remove the peel. I couldn't believe how easily and quickly it came off of my skin! The residue took less than a minute to remove-I think part of that was due to the smile I couldn't shake off once I saw the results. As recommended, I splashed my face with cool water following removal to be sure my face was entirely fresh and clean. I had deposited the dried peel into the sink (TMI?), and-being water soluble-by the time my rinse was done, the small mess was entirely cleaned up. It's only recommended to use it once a week, and if I get even close to the same results with every use, I would strongly consider using this for years to come.
  • Cindy Ingalls, Prime Beauty:
Reviva Labs Light Peel - Another gentle exfolating peel, it lifts off dried skin cells to reveal brighter, fresher skin. The consistency of this is strange; it reminds me of gloppy oatmeal or the really old fashioned wallpaper paste. It is very thick and doesn't smell that great but the odor disappates quickly. You smooth it onto you face, leave on for 3-5 until it's completely dry and then rub off with your fingers or a dry wash cloth. Weird huh? I prefer my fingers but then I’m sure there is some deep dark psychological reason I like doing this; I always liked peeling Elmer's glue off my hands as a kid too. The best thing about this peel is that it makes my skin feel soft and supple and does not leave it red. The first time I used it, when I washed my face in the shower the next morning, I was amazed at how velvety my skin felt even the next day. This 1.5 oz. jar will last as long time and is only $20!
  • Diana Antal, Painted Lady Fingers:
I was really impressed by this product's ability to clear pores and brighten the complexion in the span of five minutes. I noticed a difference in my skin after one application. My skin tends to be very clear except for the areas on the sides of my nose. Even though my skin type is dry, I am prone to developing blackheads. I have small pores and I find it a consistent effort to keep them clear. I've used pore strips and an extractor as well as regular exfoliation with facial scrubs. Use of Non-Chemical Light Skin Peel made my pores appears even smaller. It also dislodged some of the debris clogging my pores. I much prefer using this facial mask to pore strips. I found Non-Chemical Light Skin Peel helped refine my skin texture. My skin felt very smooth and even after using this product. Papaya extract and salicylic acid work together to remove dead skin cells and brighten the complexion. Dry skin can really benefit from deeper exfoliation. This product helps dissolve dead surface skin cells, allowing moisturizer to penetrate the skin more effectively.
  • Stephanie Fatta, Beauty Brite:
I apply the Light Skin Peel, let it dry, and then wash it off in the shower. This process works perfect for me and I love the results. My face has a dewy glow afterward and feels so soft and smooth! I have also noticed that it’s easier to apply my makeup the day after I use the peel. My makeup brushes just glide over my face. The product goes on thick so you don't have to use a lot of product. This is a very easy product to use and it works! I didn’t experience any irritation or redness. There is no downtime to recover. The product does not sting either.
  • Kendra Stanton, Citizens of Beauty:
The texture of the mask is sort of like Elmer's glue with a real grittiness in it, but it spread on easily with my fingers. The product stung a little bit but only at first application and it didn't last longer than a few minutes. Once the mask dried, about 10 minutes, I went to peel it off, which hurt way worse than I thought it would. (My face is sort of furry, another long story, so I am sure that's why it hurt more.) Once the mask was off, I checked out my blemish-of-the-month filled skin. The tone looked less dull than it had when I first started, which I loved, but the redness of my blemishes were still very present. The next morning I felt like my skin still felt really smooth and more bright than the night before from the dryness of winter.
  • Dianah Sadie, DGS Beauty:
I have always wanted to find a skin peeling product that I could do myself and I have found it! I was a bit skeptical but after my first try, I was very pleased with the results. The scent is not that great but I can manage. It dried fairly quickly after I applied it to my face. As it suggested, I tried to take off the peel with my fingers, but that did not work out great. So instead I used a dry towel. Once the peel was off, I noticed how smooth and brightened my skin looks.
  • Amber Shaffer, Free Social 2011:
Are you looking for a cheaper way to feel pampered, at home? Reviva Labs sent me a Non-Chemical Light skin peel to try out. I couldn't wait to try this out; my face gets oily so fast I'm always looking for something to help make my face feel fresh. After opening the jar, I realized it has kind of a strong smell to it, but so do most facial items, so I began applying the skin peel, and then after letting it sit for 5 minutes, I washed it off. My face felt great afterward, it felt so fresh and clean. You are supposed to use this once a week and I think I will continue to do so.
  • Chelsea Bishop, Girly Enthusiast:
This product also became a new favorite. You apply a layer of this "peel" cream to your face, allow it to dry, and then either rub it off with a towel or your dry fingers. I would suggest the towel route as it can be a little messy. After you remove it, your face is fully exfoliated... all dead skin cells are finito! Think of a clarifying shampoo but for your face. This does have a semi-strong smell, so if you're sensitive to that then you might not like it as much. But I don't really mind it and I LOVE the results. It's the equivalent of a chemical peel without the chemicals.
  • Kelly Gould, Gouldylox Reviews:
Imported years ago from Europe, long before exfoliation was a standard part of skincare, Light Skin Peel offered a way to refresh the skin and give it a younger, new appearance. This masque claims to improve color, clarity, and even the texture of skin. Its application is slightly different from other masques. You apply a thin layer to clean, dry skin. Then wait for a few minutes. The masque will dry on your face and when you smile, it will start to crackle, which I totally enjoy for some strange reason. It doesn't do anything fancy. It just cracks. To remove the masque, take a dry washcloth and start buffing your face. While the masque does contain salicylic acid, I am fairly certain it's the removal process along with the granular bits that does the serious exfoliation. Once you have fully removed the masque, you can apply your daily serums, moisturizers or SPF. My skin was glowing afterwards. And while I know that products really don't shrink the size of pores, I would swear on Bean the cat that the pores around my nose (the ones I always complain about) looked much less noticeable and were smaller after the masque. The one thing you should know about this before purchasing is that it does smell strongly of thyme, which I don't mind. But if you aren't expecting it, it's a bit surprising.
  • Baily Murray, I Know All The Words
If you are a frequent reader, you probably know I love a good mask and equally love a good exfoliation every now and then too; this product brings two of my skincare loves together into one quick and simple step. You don't even need water after it dries. To use this peel you simply slather it on and let it dry, once dry you peel if off. I learned not to apply it too thin or it gets a bit difficult to get it off. It only takes about five minutes to dry, which is faster than most of the peels and masks I've used in the past. As soon as you remove the mask you can see and feel the difference on your skin. My skin has a tendency to be dry, okay so it's almost always dry, but this peel removed the dull dead skin and left a smooth-less dry new skin behind. Now, I still have dry skin, but the peel really did improve the overall quality and texture of my skin. By using this as part of my "special" skincare routine, meaning my weekly treatments, I can see that I could really improve the look and feel of my skin more over time. The only thing about this mask that I wasn't really into was the scent, it has a... well I don't really know how to describe it, but when you first apply it, it has an odd scent. Luckily it begins to dissipate pretty quickly once it starts to dry. Overall though, I am really happy with how this peel performed.

I'm all done with the Reviva Labs Non-Chemical Light Skin Peel! W00t! I feel very accomplished. I've been using it 2 or 3 times a week since I got it. I wrote a review in May and I still stand behind every single word! Check out my review here. I definitely recommend this product! It's non-chemical, leaves your skin feeling fresh and clean and gives you a healthy glow. At least it did for me.
  • Tashina Combs, Logical Harmony:
Having a good scrub or skin exfoliation product is essential. Especially as the weather is changing and so are your skin care needs. I was really happy with the seaweed soap from Reviva Labs and the great job it did exfoliating, so I couldn't wait to try the Reviva Labs Light Skin Peel. While it's suggested to only use them once a week, a good scrub can make a big difference in how your skin looks. It removes dead skin cells and other impurities that your regular skin cleanser might not be able to remove. I liked that the Light Skin Peel did exactly what it claimed. It was easy to use, gentle on my skin, and left it feeling super soft and smooth. You really do notice a visible difference in your skin. Even after just one use. I feel like this is really rare of exfoliating products out there, and as a result I usually end up avoiding them. After I used it, I applied moisturizer and then used the Reviva Labs Makeup Primer under my makeup. This made my skin even softer. There was honestly nothing that I didn't like about the Reviva Labs Light Skin Peel. If you use beauty products on a regular basis, you know how rare it is that you will say this. However, it's the honest truth. I loved this product! Definitely pick it up and give it a try. Trust me, it's worth every cent.
  • Miranda Lamb, Miranda's Makeup & More:
This is a great mask. I really feel like without having to be harsh or anything it really did its job. Exfoliated my skin and made my face feel so soft and clean. I love that you keep it on for 5 minutes at the most. It doesn't hurt or have a weird sensation at all and the smell is actually refreshing. Not to strong at all. I am really happy with this. The only downfall is it is messy when your taking it off. You have to gently rub it off so a bunch of flakeys fall off. I found that a clean dry cloth works best to gently rub it off. So just make sure you're over your sink when taking it off. Even with that said I would definitely buy this. I really want to try a different peel/mask from them now.
  • Kristina Everhart, Racing & Saving Mama:
Now I haven't used a Skin Peel since I was in high school; which was quite awhile ago. I was a little nervous about this one because I have pretty sensitive skin. The product says it revitalizes, clears and brightens your skin. The cream is supposed to be used once a week and it is a white color with granules in it. You spread it out on your skin, let it dry for about 5 minutes and then wipe it off. After applying the product I couldn't quite place the smell so I turned it over to read the ingredients which were all natural and understandable. I realized the smell was Thyme. It made me laugh b/c I have that growing outside in a pot so I should have recognized it from the beginning. The product promises to make your skin feel bright and fresh. It certainly did. I really liked the result and will definitely be using it weekly.
  • Sihui Vice, SiSi Sparkles:
My thoughts and experience: I know, the name is a little confusing. I thought it was an at-home chemical peel too. This was a very interesting product; it's a mix between an exfoliator and a peel mask. It feels like an exfoliator when you use it, but you it's really a mask that you peel! The mixture is in a plastic container sealed with a screw top. Simply apply a thin layer of this stuff with clean fingers. The mixture has grainy texture and looks like it is mixed with some crushed up dried leaves. It applies easily and is non sticky. It has a very strong medicinal scent, which reminds me of Chinese herbal stuff. The first time I used it, the scent was extremely overwhelming. After the first time, I got used to it and did not mind so much. During this time, I could feel my face getting tighter. After about 15-20 minutes, it's hard to move my face because of the tightness. By then, you know it's time to peel! It feels like picking pieces of handmade paper off your face, that's the fun part. I can see noticeably smaller pores, and my face feels soft and moisturized. I really look forward to using this product once a week!
  • Nicole, Girl Rates World:
I've been applying the peel to my face once a week. It's a light skin peel so it doesn't irritate my sometimes overly-sensitive skin. Initially, it does make my eyes water a bit - sorta the way alcohol does. But it lasts for a second or two. You apply the peel like you would a mask and it dries in about 3 to 5 mins. Then, here comes the "fun" part. I use a dry wash cloth and start rubbing at the mask VERY lightly. It will start to flake and slough off your dead skin. It's a task! You will need patience. I take my time and enjoy watching the flakes fall off like Christmas snowflakes. The elbow grease is worth it! Afterwards, and the morning after, you will have supple and soft skin. You can't stop touching it. My pores are practically diminished after using. So it will be ideal for special occasions when you want to put your best face forward.
