Cocamide MIPA, known as cocamide monoisopropanolamine, is a combination of isopropanolamides produced from coconut acid. It is most often seen in shampoos, conditioners, body washes, dandruff treatments, bubble baths, exfoliants, cleansers, and liquid hand soaps. This mixture provides a few key benefits; it is an emulsifier, surfactant, viscosity regulator, foam booster, and aids in stabilizing the product. It is safe to use on the skin and does not cause any irritation or harm. Cocamide MIPA is typically found in white to pale yellow solid form.
