A yellow blossom that grows in the hills, it has been a part of herbal medication for a long time, though its impacts on the skin are open to debate. It is chiefly used to alleviate bruises, but there are reports that suggest it is no more effective than a placebo. Also, while some believe it has anti-inflammatory properties, (i.e., helping to soothe tired muscles, etc.) other research indicates it may cause skin irritation.
