A few of our president’s favorites: hydrating mask, dark spot brightening serum, and multipeptide complex

Picking my favorite Reviva products is very tough. Obviously, I enjoy them all, and use many of them every day. But if I had to pick three of my most recent favorite products, it’s our Hydrating Mask, Dark Spot Brightening Serum, and our Multipeptide Complex. These are three must have products, at least for me, a distinguished gentleman that’s reached the half century mark.

Calming & Cooling Hydrating Mask

Our Hydrating Mask is a fantastic clay-based mask that purifies the skin while simultaneously hydrating it too. This is unique with a clay mask that features kaolin and bentonite clays. Clay masks can often leave your skin freshened but feeling dry. It’s why during spa treatments clay masks are often followed-up with serums or moisturizers – to rehydrate your skin (since the clays can pull out not only impurities but also the oils from your skin.

Our Dark Spot Brightening Serum was always a hidden gem, but after the reformulation, it’s now a full fledged treasure of a product.

But our Hydrating mask is different. It contains soothing oils, seaweed, swiss apple extract, essential fatty acids (via grapeseed oil), and hyaluronic acid. This is why, when using this mask, your skin isn’t left feeling parched. In fact, most users are amazed how hydrated their skin feels after using this mask.

And here’s my secret for using this mask multiple times per week (which is fine, since it’s very gentle). I like to apply the mask while I’m getting ready to shower. I then leave it on in the shower while bathing, and when I’m rinsing, I wash away the mask too. This lessens clean-up time as the mask washes away easily in the shower. I even contributed to a blog post about this technique.

Dark Spot Brightening Serum

One of the issues you deal with as you age is the appearance of dark spots and uneven skin tone. Yeah, even guys encounter this common skin care problem. There can be many reasons for the skin darkening or spots… but age is a leading factor.

I became a big fan of our Dark Sport Brightening Serum after admitting that some of my “freckles” were in fact age spots. On my upper cheek bones I seem to be prone to these spots. So I started using our Dark Spot Brightening Serum to fade these and was very happy to see these spots start to fade in only a few weeks.

Recently, we updated this item’s formula to make it even more beneficial and effective. We added three more brightening components to make this product very robust. Its formula now contains eight (8) proven brightening ingredients: Glycolic Acid, Kojic Acid, Niacinamide, Vitamin C, Arbutin, Resveratrol, Bearberry, and Licorice Root.

The real secret about this Dark Spot Brightening Serum is it’s not only a spot treatment. Sure, it was originally developed for isolated use, but the upgraded formula now makes it a robust overall brightening serum. One that can help improve and even out your overall complexion. I often dab it onto the specific spots and then follow-up with applying it all over my face (to even things out).

Multi-Peptide Complex Créme

While I don’t think I look my age (and I don’t always act it either), I have noticed that my forehead has developed some creases and brow wrinkles. I might blame some of these wrinkles on my lovely daughter who is filled with sassy attitude and the sarcastic wit of her parents.

Regardless, I decided I wanted to do something about these worry lines. So I started using our Multi-Peptide Complex on my forehead and all over my face. This product features four unique peptide complexes: Matrixyl™, Adipofill’in™, Progeline™, Syn-ake™.

This item was one of the last products Stephen Strassler, one of our founders, worked on before he passed away. He was very proud of this product and its effectiveness at helping to combat deep wrinkles. It was originally targeted at the nasolabial lines that form from the nose down to the mouth. And its combination of ingredients also help to improve thinning skin and the loss of cheek fat that naturally occurs as we age.

But its anti-aging ingredients have proven themselves to be very versatile in helping alleviate wrinkles all over the face. Such as the deep wrinkles I’ve developed on my forehead. So this is my go-to anti-aging cream that I’ll admit, I slather all over my face.

I use so many of our products interchangeably since they’re designed to work together and to layer in order to boost the effects of each.

So I’m going to mention a few of my other favorite products – that I use regularly too.

Our 10% Glycolic Acid Créme

I use this product almost every day, especially if I see or feel a breakout coming on. Yeah, at 50 years old, I still get the occasional breakout. But I often use this product at night, before bed to help restore my skin while I sleep. Some nights I follow it up with the Multi-Peptide Complex… while others I use it alone.

Under Eye Dark Circle Serum

Another great product, one I find myself using more and more as I get less sleep nowadays. This product has recently been improved too – and now features niacinamide and caffeine along with its other potent ingredients. But it’s a terrific boost when used and helps to improve the look of tired, baggy, and/or puffy eyes.

It’s always tough to keep current on “my favorites” since we’re constantly iterating product formulas and always debuting new items. So, my list constantly changes. But if I had to pick currently, I’m a big fan of our newest Revitalizing products Calming Renewal Serum and Calming Rejuvenation Creme. The combination of these two items is super hydrating and nourishing to the skin. And I’ve always loved our Eye Complex Firming Creme which I always take with me when I’m traveling.

I also normally have our Glycolic Acid Cleanser and Activated Charcoal Time Release Night Crème on my shelf too. Along with our Vitamin C Serum and just recently I’ve added our newer Retinol Serum and Collagen Revitalizing Creme – which now includes Bakuchiol.
