Yes — niacinamide is one of the few active ingredients widely recommended for sensitive and reactive skin. Rather than exfoliating or accelerating cell turnover (which can cause irritation), it works by reinforcing the skin’s own protective barrier, reducing transepidermal water loss, and calming the visible redness and reactivity that come with a compromised barrier. It also contains no known common sensitisers. If your skin is particularly reactive, begin with once-daily use in the evening and observe your skin’s response before introducing it in the morning as well.
